Clinicians Who Play the Game
Our team isn't just experienced in cricket injuries — they're active participants in the Sydney cricket community at the highest club level. Premier Grade players, Shires representatives, and a Sydney CC embedded S&C coach.
Jay is the founder and principal physiotherapist of SportsFit Health & Rehab — the clinic behind SportsFit Cricket Physio. With a background in NRL, AFL, and Premier Cricket, Jay brings elite-level clinical experience to every assessment.
As a 1st grade Shires opening bowler, Jay understands the physical demands of cricket from the inside — not just from the treatment table. That combination of clinical expertise and playing experience shapes the way the entire cricket program at SportsFit is run.
Jay also lectures at Macquarie University, contributing to the next generation of physiotherapists while maintaining his clinical and playing commitments.
Dan Mullen leads the strength and conditioning arm of SportsFit Cricket Physio. His credentials are as much about what he does on the field as off it — as 2nd grade captain for Sydney Cricket Club, Dan competes at the highest level of NSW Premier Cricket while simultaneously running the club's S&C program.
As Head of S&C at Sydney CC and S&C coach at Riverview, Dan is embedded in the game at every level — from elite junior development through to Premier Grade competition. He brings a depth of cricket-specific physical preparation knowledge that generic S&C coaches simply don't have.
Working alongside our physiotherapy team at SportsFit, Dan ensures that S&C programming and injury management are never working in isolation — the two disciplines are integrated from day one.
Physiotherapists Who Play
Our physiotherapy team includes active Premier Grade and Shires cricketers — bringing first-hand understanding of the game to every clinical interaction.
Physiotherapist and active cricketer with Sydney Cricket Club. Deepti brings both clinical expertise and personal cricket experience to her patient care.
Prak is a physiotherapist and 3rd grade Premier Cricket leg spinner for Sydney Cricket Club. His playing experience gives him direct insight into the demands that bowling and batting place on the body.
Shash is a physiotherapist and 1st grade Shires bowler — competing at the highest level of Sydney district club cricket alongside his clinical work at SportsFit.
Sydney Cricket Club
SportsFit Health & Rehab is the preferred physiotherapy provider for Sydney Cricket Club — founded in 1858 and competing in NSW Premier Cricket.
This isn't a passive sponsorship. Dan captains the 2nd grade side and runs the club's S&C program. Prak and Shash play Premier Grade. Deepti was Player of the Match in the women's premiership. Our team is embedded in Sydney CC — not observing from the outside.
